Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee has created a nanotech catalyst that allows the conversion of CO2 directly into ethanol.

Given the technique’s reliance on low-cost materials and an ability to operate at room temperature in water, the researchers believe the approach could be scaled up for industrially relevant applications.

How awesome is that?

So if we harness the power into a mouthpiece, can we breathe fire??

EDIT: Or better yet, get drunk off our own breath....

From what I hear, you don’t really want to drink straight ethanol.

It’s a mixer. You can get everclear that is juuust about pure ethanol. We used to use it to make a big batch of party booze in college.

So does this solve global warming? Or will the tech be gobbled up by some company that will sell “Farts2Booze”?
